The almost impossibly pretty Alsace wine village of Eguisheim (68 Haut-Rhin, Grand Est) is surrounded by vineyards and is home to
more than 30 winegrowers and two Grands Crus, Eichberg and Pfersigberg The town is adorned in flowers. with narrow cobbled streets, old houses, castle ramparts and more flowers.
The Hameau d’Eguisheim provides both B&B and self-catering apartments in a typical half-timbered house in the heart of the village , but which is also on a wine estate! Hameau can be translated as “hamlet” – i.e. a collection of buildings, which here includes 2 thatched cottages in addition to the 5 B&B rooms and part of the wine Domaine Ginglinger, which produces the range of Alsace white wines including several Grand Crus (Eichberg, Pfersigberg).
All the accommodation is here is modern and well-furnished and comes with private bathroom/shower, internet access and a flat-screen TV. and the comfort of quality bedding. For longer stays, there are 2 comfortable cottages with a capacity of 4 and 6 people (including one with a private balcony). The cottages have a fully equipped kitchen, a large living room with flat screen TV, a bathroom with bath, separate WC.
Guests can visit the wine cellar and enjoy a wine tasting of the property’s wines. The village of Eguisheim offers restaurants, shops, bars and a Tourist Information Office and there are several wine festivals in the village in Summer and a Christmas Market.
